Communicate delivers on a sympathetic installation for upgraded CCTV systems at historical Willicombe House

Willicombe House in Tunbridge Wells, Kent has recently undergone a review and overhaul of their CCTV surveillance equipment in conjunction with Communicate UK.
The review was ordered by management at Willicombe House after the existing CCTV system, which used video recorders, failed and some losses had been suffered as a result. It was imperative that that the new security system was supplied and fitted within a two week timescale to ensure minimal disruption to surveillance of the house and its grounds.
Following the initial assessment and subsequent recommendation, Alan Johnson-Smith instructed Communicate’s team to carry out the installation of updated equipment. Upgrading the existing cameras to Samsung day/night cameras with Pentax lenses, means that high quality images can now be achieved in low light levels. The CCTV system records to DVR which stores high frame rate images for six weeks at a time.
Mindful that they needed to be sympathetic to the historical buildings and their surroundings with any additional cabling, the team were able to use current technology to allow multiple cameras to be served by the existing cabling, keeping the installation of new cables to an absolute minimum.
As an additional but very effective deterrent, CCTV signage was also installed across the site.
